chapter 8

To anonymous,

Today was really great. I had lots of fun playing basketball without any rules. Although the sun made my skin red but still I enjoyed the game a lot.  There were so many bats flying in the corridor. Alas! Many of them died. Some notorious boys picked them up and scared the girls. Still we had so much fun although I and Andrea are not in good terms with Sabrina.

Let me shorten the story. Actually all this fuss is about some ego issues. It’s really sad because I know Sabrina since the 6th grade. But I have some limits. It’s hard to tolerate but impossible to keep tolerating. I know I should keep patience but it’s not easy.

Attitude is the worst thing which enters in teens. We point others that they have a lot of attitude but we never see it in ourselves. Or rather I must say we don’t want to see it in ourselves. The sixth reason why teenage sucks….”EGO ISSUES”. People say others have changed. But the fact is when we change our views and thinking change. Then we find that the world has changed and say “I’m still the same.”

Many a times it happens that people are compelled to change due to others. The nerd turns model. They all want to be popular. They don’t care whether they are popular for good deeds or bad deeds. Teenage is the time when we all want fame, attention and appreciation. But we don’t like it if someone else gets it. Quite amazing….isn’t it?

I remember the fifth grade Ann. She was sweet, gentle and good hearted. But that crave for popularity changed her completely. Now when I think of it I say to myself that although she got fame but she lost her sweetness. Although she got glamour but she lost sensitivity and although she got those popular guys but she lost those who really loved her.

I miss Sabrina very much. I’ll try my best to bring back things to normal. All I want is her to realize and that is enough for me to keep our friendship alive. here is a beautiful quote, “Even though we’ve changed and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not all still friends.”

Got to go. Its midnight. Wait for my next letter. Let the world change because I know you will remain the same and wait for my letters without any complain… ❤

Yours lovingly,

G$2.
